Our family-run hotel and restaurant, with a rich tradition, is located right in the heart of the Giant Mountains in Špindlerův Mlýn. Thanks to its exceptional location, it has an excellent view of the whole town and the slopes of Medvědín. The hotel's location is connected to the trails for hikes in the adjacent mountains. We offer our guests a pleasant environment with a friendly and homely atmosphere. Our hotel has undergone extensive renovation between 2021 and 2023 and offers rooms in Deluxe categories. The restaurant offers a buffet breakfast. A La Carte lunches with a wide range of Czech and international specialties prepared by the chef of Hotel Slavie ****. Hotel guests can enjoy Wellness with Jacuzzi, sauna and in summer time two terraces where guests can taste tasting MENU combined with a wide range of Moravian and Italian wines. The hotel is suitable for small corporate events, teambuliding trip and is equipped with the necessary audio-video equipment and sound system. We will be happy to welcome you with your pets.
A little bit of history
The Slavie Hotel in Spindleruv Mlyn has a long history dating back to the 19th century. The building was built around 1884 as one of the first mountain huts that were built on the slopes of the Giant Mountains for the needs of tourists. Later, due to the growing tourism, the building and the village of Špindlerův Mlýn became a popular destination for tourists and skiers. Originally, Hotel Slavie served as an accommodation facility for visitors who came for hiking, especially from the ranks of the Czech Tourist Club. After World War II, like many other buildings in the area, the building underwent various changes in ownership and purpose. During the socialist period, it was used as accommodation for the recreation of employees of various state-owned enterprises, most recently Elektromontážní závody Praha. After 1989, when privatisation took place, the building was transferred to EZ Vatech, which subsequently sold it. The Slavie building was operated as a low-cost accommodation facility until 2020. After a costly renovation between 2021 and 2023, it was reopened in 2024 as Hotel Slavie ****. The renovation and modernisation of the building was carried out to ensure that the building retains its original mountain character and appearance. Today, the completely renovated Hotel Slavie **** enjoys popularity thanks to its location in the heart of the Giant Mountains and its proximity to popular hiking trails and ski resorts.
